Unit 5 post

Hello everyone!
I am so happy the weather is finally starting to get warm around here! I really feel more motivated and happy now that the weather is not so cold and gloomy. I really need to start cracking down and getting started on my two final projects due this term now that I have some time off work. I really didn't want time off work right now but I might as well make the best of it. I also need to get to spring cleaning my house. After being stuck in the house because it was cold outside with a three year old, a 10 month old, a 20 year old, and a 16 year old, my house is due for a good scrubbing. This is my very first house and I had no idea how much work it is to keep up with. I thought my trailer was difficult but a house is way more work then I expected. It is well worth it though. I feel like I have accomplished a lot in my personal life in the past few months and now it is time for me to really get to work and get some education accomplished. I did not do so well the last two terms but I am confident that I will do better this time. At least I hope!

Unit 4

Hello all,
Another unit that has gone by way to fast. I am still trying to get used to writing things in APA format correctly. When I look at things in APA format I can tell if it is right or not but, for some reason, when I try to do it I get everything mixed up. I think using correct citation is very important. If I was a writer who spent long hours and worked very hard researching,writing,editing,re-writing, and more on something, I would be very upset if someone came along and got all the credit by simply copying. I am sure we have all done it at one time or another and I am sure it was not on purpose. For example, in grade school if you had to write a paper, who here used citations? Yeah, didn't think so, lol. I had never even thought about it before I started Kaplan. I am very glad I learned about using correct citations. This way I can be sure to not appear that I am stealing someone's work and it makes a paper look very professional!

Unit 3

Hello everyone! Today has been a rough day. Monday and a time change, especially one that makes you lose an hour of your day, should not be done on the same day! YIKES! But I survived. The time change threw me off and I missed class tonight but I hurried and caught up on all my work. I really like being an online student. It is very helpful to me because I live way out in the middle of nowhere with my two small children. I work from home also so going to school from home gives me the flexibility I need to work,take care of my children, and continue my education without the hassle of driving back and forth and finding a baby sitter. I liked it even more after my first seminar. I like the seminar because it is nice to have that communication with your classmates and teachers and gives you a feeling of actually being in class. Since I go to school and work from home, any people contact is important to me, lol. I am a bit nervous about clinicals however because we will not have the hands on training before being put out to clinicals but I am sure it will all work out!

Unit 2

Hello everyone!
I posted my initial post last week but, again, I am very excited about the blog being added to part of our course work! I like getting to read my classmates blogs and getting to see pictures and learn more about everyone. It makes it feel more like a real class and not so isolated. I work from home and attend school from home so any people contact for me is nice, lol!I look forward to hearing more about everyone's topics for their final papers. Everyone's ideas I have read so far seem very interesting and I am excited to read more! I also look forward to getting some peer review for my paper because I love learning from my classmates. Good luck to everyone this term! I am sure everyone will do awesome!
